I met with Aley and Matt just before I left on my trip to Iceland in September. They told me all about their plans for their big day that would happen almost exactly a year from the day we met. They spoke about how, at first, they were thinking of having a country side wedding but after a little more planning and figuring out logistics, downtown Ottawa was going to be the better option for them and their guests. Which is why we decided that the engagement session should take place somewhere outside of town, with a bit more trees and some fresh country air. They suggested Matts family cottage and I was all up for it – this place ended up being a photographers dream!
It was such a pleasure to photograph these two somewhere that they cherish so much. I always encourage others to let me know if there is a special place where they want to do their engagement photos. I will go just about anywhere to capture you where you feel the most peace and happiness. Xo
